ACCESS DUPAGE Access DuPage is a collaborative effort whose mission is to provide access to medical services to those people in DuPage County, IL who lack access because of economic reasons. Access DuPage is not an insurance program, nor is it a substitute for good health insurance. But if you are without health insurance and meet the eligibility criteria, Access DuPage and its participating physicians will try to provide you with a medical home where you can receive primary care services at a small cost until you become insured. Access DuPage has been in existence since 2002, and is having a positive impact on our community. Access DuPage has served over 10,000 DuPage county residents that at one point did not have any access to medical services. Who is eligible for Access DuPage? All persons in Access DuPage are enrolled for a one-year period. At the end of each one-year period of eligibility, persons may re-enroll if they still meet the eligibility requirements. What services are available through Access DuPage? Access DuPage assigns each eligible person to a primary care physician or a clinic that provides ongoing primary physician care. Most lab and x-ray services ordered by the assigned primary care provider are covered by the program and available at any local DuPage County hospital. Most (not all) prescription drugs ordered by the assigned primary care physician are covered and available at any Walgreens in DuPage County. For each of these services, Access DuPage enrollees pay a small fee. How do I enroll in Access DuPage? If you meet the eligibility requirements and wish to enroll in Access DuPage, call one of the locations listed below for an enrollment appointment. Please expect to be asked to bring original documents to prove program eligibility, such as income verification for the last 90 days and proof of address.
